After being rescued by a mysterious man, Silver and the people of Ortus are brought into an underground bunker.

But who is this mysterious man, and can he be trusted?

As tensions build beneath the surface, threats overhead are far from over. The Elites still want Silver, and they'll do just about anything to get her. If Silver wants to stay alive, she'll have to find a way to join forces with strangers she knows nothing about.

The only problem is, some of these strangers have plans of their own.... plans that include Silver.

Hunted, the third book in The Immortal Ones series, takes readers on a thrilling adventure like no other.

Review

The people of Ortus received a dubious welcome. Silver's reputation has spread to the bunker as the face of the rebellion against Olympus. It's because of her reputation that the people of Ortus are welcomed; however, there are some who think that the bunker would be better off without them.

There's a little bit of political intrigue happening in the book. You have the leaders of the people of Ortus trying to ensure that their people are integrated into the bunker's society, but then you have people who are apparently searching for a way to overthrow the existing bunker's leadership. It's deliciously exciting to watch how this unfolds and to see how Silver's influence on the political aspect of the bunker's society.

I mentioned in my review of the previous book that there wasn't much interaction between Silver and the girls she knew from Olympus. I am happy to say that this has changed. Silver and the girls are blending well with the bunker's society, and this has given them more time to interact with each other. Many of the characters from the previous book play integral roles in this book, so if you had any favorites from the last book, you're likely to see them in this book.

I thought that the book was paced quite well. The dialogue is pertinent to the plot and it is balanced well with the action and adventure in the book. Since Silver has become a leader of sorts, she plays a significant role in the action and adventure of the book. Her character is blossoming nicely as she learns more about an alternate, technologically advanced way of life. She has become to understand her role as a leader and is becoming more accustomed to using her natural leadership skills to undertake several tasks for the bunker.

If you liked the previous book, you'll love this book. This book has a cliffhanger ending, so we'll have to wait until October to find out what happens next.
