Review
I absolutely love plots that contemporize ancient civilizations' mythology. Calista is an engaging, well-written character, and I enjoyed following her on her journey to discovering who she really is. The other characters were equally amazing and had their own personalities and quirks that made them seem so lifelike. The world-building was incredible and it helped me become even more engrossed in the story. The plot flowed smoothly, there wasn't a dull moment, and reading it was effortless; I didn't want to put it down.
A captivating book from beginning to end, Spider's Awakening is a must-read for those who enjoy contemporary twists on ancient mythology.
